TinyCP Roadmap

Last time we were not very active, but I'll try explain why.

First version of TinyCP was an experiment for our internal use.
We shared it to see if the people would like it.
Many users started testing and using it so we decided to go further.

First big change is the change of technology.
We decided to abandon the PHP version and use Mono + ReactJS.
We need to make panel faster, more secure and more independed on platforms.

"Mono" - gives more supported platforms and allows us to use background processes.

"ReactJS" - gives us more independent on browsers and also allows to split to the backend and frontend.

"ReactJS Native" - gives possibility to manage many servers at once via one native applications.

We do not plan to evolve current version of TinyCP.
Until we release new second version, this one will be free.
We take into consideration many suggestions and solutions you all gave us.

I hope we'll release an early version in next two months, but no one know how long will it take :)

Great platform mate.

Will the new current platform be upgraded to the new version when released or new clean install? If you need testers for the new platform I am available to put it under heavy load and report back bugs and suggestions.

I too am curios if a complete overhaul will be required. im currently migrating to the current version of tinyCP from ajenti after that project was all but abandoned. hoping not to have to do a complete reinstall again, but im really really happy to see the multi server support being added. i also love that your doing it to make the panel faster, in its current form its already the fastest panel on the market. great work and if you ever are interested in community help please let me know.
I too am among those who fought with poorly designed and / or supported packages before finding TinyCP - a joy to use. Thank you for keeping us informed of your development plans. Also, I have a "subscription" that is set to "expire" on April 1. Please explain what that entails when you have a moment.  

Hi everyone.
I would like to introduce small info about functionalities what we had done in new version until now.
We are doing API + GUI together and it looks like:


Next will be mariadb/mysql, apache, postfix, dovecot.
Personally I like new user interface and the speed of panel. It is faster few times more that old PHP version.
We have added second encryption layer, so even without SSL certificate you will be secured (no SSL certificate for IP).
Soon we will be searching for testers of functionalities what we have. More info soon

In what kind of cases you use Docker ? 

We finished LXD - Linux Containers with almost all features.
Docker also is in our mind but after all main functionalities.

I guess we have to completely reinstall everything, so there will be no upgrade path, right?

It's too early for us to speak about compatibility or migration between 2 versions. For now we want to focus on porting all the functions from old version. Once that's done we'll surely announce what are our plans for migrations. Just be patient :)

Also, count me in when you put out a call for testers. I can spin up a testing vps and try to break it.

did someone of the devs tested current version and v2 with Debian 10 already? will it be supported?
Hi everyone, what about price for new verison, still be the same? It would be so nice, because to find a budget powerful and at the same time simple panel is just impossible.
