it's really annoying that when adding a domain, the www prefix is hardcoded and cannot be removed. There are occasions when I need to add *just* a subdomain to a server, and then I don't want www anywhere in the configs. This can also really mess up validation with LetsEncrypt.
In your DNS setting, create a CNAME www.subdomain.[domain.tld] to point to A records.
